The announcement will come almost a year after Yahoo! rejected a $47.5 million (£28 million) takeover bid from Microsoft. Despite the knock-back, Microsoft continued to make overtures to the ailing portal company, and turned its attention towards creating a joint search and advertising venture that would present stiffer competition for Google, which dominates the market.

But I think bing will start pulling a big part of googels oon, because in most of the new computers the BING is included in IE as a default search engine. Whatever, yous ay its microsoft OS so they have a lot of benefits.

For OS, I can say no one can beat MS :D Just like google, you will also heard the name of XP and Vista now a days. Though Bing joined as default search in IE, I have changed it to Google as so my friends ;)

For OS I am with MS but for Search Engine I am with G :D

I am with G when it comes to online marketing and so I think G OS would be better off.

The same thing hold true when it comes to IE.

Before FF hardly anybody could think about anything but IE but when G started promoting it FF took over.

So as per your answer, we can guess it that Chrome is a biggest loss for FF because the most powerful search engine was promoting FF now it won't ;) Will FF be there now ?

has anybody used blackle.com for their search? I have used it and found it to be pretty good...
At this rate if MS does buy yahoo down the line, we will have only 3 big companies MS, Oracle, and SAP:)

You never know, G has a big market, but it takes seconds these days for a fire to start thanks to the media, blogs, youtube, etc etc...
People do fear that google has become so big that it might be an disadvantage for them rather then an advantage... And if this fire starts around some new or better search engine you never know, things may go ugly for Google...
Or if something (God forbid) to Larry and Sergie, someone else take over G, people maynot have faith in it then as they use to have..
