BBC to Use IBM's Video Search

    The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has entered a strategic alliance with IBM for a new video search system and support in other technology areas such as content distribution and rights management.

    Under this partnership, BBC will introduce IBM's video search system, code-named 'Marvel', which has the ability to visually analyze images and video to categorize the content based on appearance, and make it more searchable.
