win 32 error & Host problem

    2 days back I scanned my win 7 with AVG for viruses it deducted viruses & ask whether to remove or not I click on ok button, but after restarting my Laptop I get 2 errors 1.Win 32 2.Host settings have been removed
    I cannot open any file on C: drive like cmd or msconfig extra, pls help me out

    Are you able to start Windows? If No the only option remaining is format it.
