system memory initialization.........

    I have a doubt regarding system memory initialization..... When will the RAM memory get initialized????????? During POST operation????????? Explain me about RAM initialization in detail????????????????

    RAM is needed by OS and so POST does not need to do that. Post is just checking for your all the hardwares

    On POST (Power On Self Test) the firmware finds, calculates the size, and verifies system's main memory.

    It doesn't always verify. When it does, it's rarely an exhaustive, highly effective test. It is not initialized prior to use; there's no need.
