Success is not something that comes to you instead you go to it. With increasing competition in the market getting suceess indeed becomes avery trivial task. Do read the following blog, I am sure it will help you a lot regarding the subject name of the blog is "individual agility equals organizational agility"

Success can be a culmination of different factors working together , including: good work being produced, creative thinking, leadership skills, good ties with peers/superiors, good attendance and being on time, earning trust, and etc. When you advance to higher-end occupations, such as doctor jobs or engineering job, the formula to success remains the same but the demand and expectations become much higher. Networking is growing as a success-related factor too, along with authority, meaning people will consult you as an authority in your field of practice.

Hard work is important but I think Smart Work reduces the hard work pressure.
