I was just wondering if any of you webmasters submit to small search engines. Is it worth the effort and time? I personally submit them to the major 20 search engines because they are more used by people; Instead of using my time to submit them to smaller engines, I submit my site to as many direcotires as possible.

Submiting once hardly takes 2-3 min and so I prefer submitting the site to some more SE than google/Yahoo/MSN but not all the small search engines. Some people believe that its not good to be submitting them to SE as they will find you anyway but I think submitting once for what they offer is not a bad deal.

95% of searches are performed on four or five search engines- Google, Yahoo, Msn, Ask (google results) AltaVista. Unless you are submitting to niche SE's then its a pointless task!

I dont agree with you on this because if you search for something on both the results are very different.
