What is reverse SEO and how does it work?
Reverse SEO is the process of decreasing or removing websites
rare than your site on first pages of Google.Reverse SEO follows:
(1) Increasing your website rank.
(2) Decreasing your competitor’s site rank.
So Reverse SEO is a SEO technique that is capable of decreasing a
competitor’s site rank inside the Google Search Engine.
I am first time reading the term "reverse SEO". So interested to know more about it.
Never heard before. Do you think his really works?
Decreasing your competitors rank means increasing your own rank i guess. lols
The process of reverse SEO is intended to remove negative or unwanted information about a company from a website with new information, lower its search rankings in sites like Google, Yahoo, Bing etc...
Reverse SEO is an online reputation management (ORM) strategy. It protects your company from negative publicity and rumors that can circulate quickly online.Reverse SEO has become one of the most effective strategies for minimizing the impact of bad publicity within the search engines’ organic listings. It is an Online Reputation Management (ORM) tool of SEO consultants who manage Online Reputation Management. Too often, companies become targets for negative press online.
Black hat seo tricks can called reverse seo...am i right..??? meet again.
What are the main things in reverse seo...??? meet again.
things to be kept in mind for reverse seo:
Google ranks pages based on several criteria. One of its organic algorithm’s ranking parameters is a website’s authority within its search terms. The more authority a site has, the easier it is for a page on that site to rank well and control its position. When an authoritative page carries bad publicity about your company, it can gain exposure to a wide audience. This is the problem that reverse SEO optimization resolves.
analyze the authority of high-ranking pages that speak negatively of your business. Then formulate a strategy to push those pages into the depths of Google’s rankings, limiting their visibility.
Reverse SEO Curbs Negative Publicity
Negative publicity, if left unchecked, can gain tremendous momentum in Google especially. Highly-ranked pages attract links. As inbound links increase to these pages, they become harder to remove. This is why it is important to launch a reverse SEO campaign as soon as bad press emerges. By suppressing negative pages quickly, you can prevent them from gaining traction.
A single unsatisfied customer can create havoc for your company by spreading deceptive stories of poor service or shoddy workmanship. Similarly, one resentful employee can anonymously unfurl a string of damaging diatribes. If such stories and diatribes are merely told to another person, their effects are limited and temporary. By contrast, if they are published online and receive exposure in Google, they can have catastrophic results for your business.
This type of negative press tends to gain a groundswell of momentum, regardless of its accuracy. By suppressing these pages in the search engines, reverse SEO allows you to control the effects of bad publicity. It helps you to smother the flames before they grow out of control.
Reverse SEO is Online Reputation Management from an SEO perspective
In the same way that an SEO project requires a refined approach, a reverse SEO campaign should also follow a rigid formula. The basic strategy relies upon a network of authoritative sites to control the first page of organic listings for your company’s name. That includes article and press release syndication, capturing keyword-rich sub-domains on authoritative blog sites, and carefully using social networking properties like Myspace, Facebook, Squidoo, and Twitter pages. There are also a number of formidable online tools that can be used to further support your reverse SEO efforts.
By leveraging the ranking ability of these authoritative sites for your company’s name, you can control the first page of organic listings. That pushes negative press down beyond your customers’ field of view.
I think its not clear here about Reverse SEO.
If someone saying Reverse SEO , then for our website it is not reverse.
What exactly means ...
Can u anyone please...explain..
becoz ..Google PR algo is very different .
there are some sites or forum where you can complain against any guilty site. Then they put a link just before the site. So when ever the site comes on the search result the bad reputation link will just come before it. Then to make the difference between the bad link and the site you have to do the reverse seo.
Reverse SEO is a way of not only knocking adverse publicity about your company off of the first page in Google search or other online search engines, but preventing it from ever getting there in the first place, as well.
I have never of it.Its really helpful to know about it..Thanks for raising such a topic.

Reverse SEO is used for Search Engine Reputation Management (ONLINE REPUTATION MANAGEMENT - ORM)
Reverse search engine optimization is used to suppress or push down a web page in the search engine results. With reverse SEO, you are essentially burying search results that could be harmful to your brand or reputation.
Reverse SEO can be summarized in 7 steps:
Identify the bad reputation with regards to the brand / business keyword
Analyze the competitive edge of that bad reputation site – backlinks, on site structure, social media authority, etc…
Build on the keyword using off-site SEO on websites and other web properties you don’t own
Build on the SEO of websites and web properties that you own
Interlink those properties
Get the backlinks of that bad reputation page and point them to your properties
Repeat until desired effect is achieved
Reverse SEO is something you attempt on other website. It is also known as negative SEO and you should not attempt doing so, instead, you should improve own SEO.
Separate names with a comma.
