i have wireless and it is in lan to another computer. is there anyway i can make a message pop up on the other computer.
use net send. goto cmd type net send <ip address of destination> <ur msg> For more info type help net send
so it would go like net send 555.555.5.5 hi hows it going and that should send a message to 555.555.5.5? and if so what would it say in my command prompt telling me that the message went?
awww crap i have vista and i just read that the up and killed net send on vist, and replaced it with msg.exe?!
Ya. Ur syntax is correct. U wont get any ack. But it'll defintely send it to the dest. If not u'll get an error msg, like 'type Help msg 5777'. Jus check it.
I dont have vista in my PC. so u type 'help msg' or 'msg/?' in the command prompt. U'll be getting it. if not i'll chec & tel u
"if i type "help msg" it tells me to try "msg /?" and if i do it tells me it is not recognized as and internal or external command?! what the hell...
it says that msg.exe is only on vista busness? does that mean i have net send or am i shit out of luck and have nether?
hi.. Chek this out. http://www.cezeo.com/products/netsend/ and one more thing is Net send is no longer supported in Vista/Longhorn versions. So better use the above link
