    Introduction

Ever accidentally forgot the password to your user account on the Welcome Screen and just can't seem to remember it? Well this article explains one of the ( faster ) ways to retrieve it.

    Password

NOTE: I'm writing this article assuming you're the owner of the computer and the only user on it. If you are trying to mess up someone else's account, please read no further.

First, turn on your computer. Then, hold down F8. You will then get a list of options, such as Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, etc. You'll want to do Safe Mode.

    Log onto the Administrator account.

Then go to Control Panel. From there you can click user accounts. You should be able to change your password there. Or go to Run and key in " control userpasswords2 " ( without the quotation marks)
