i got a website that is " acmepanel.biz" Alexa shows that this has only one back-link, visitor got maximum 50-60. My question is how this website got page rank 4? I knew that only huge back-links and visitors increases page rank. But what is this? it will be helpful if u can give me any idea Thank you all.
I don't know the answer to your question, but it seems a pretty pointless website. The title and description bear no relation to the content, which is blogs not related to each other and links to other blogs that also aren't relevant to anything. Whatever its PR is, it is a site about nothing so what does it matter that it is PR4?
thanks for Ur reply. actually i am going to work on SEO related projects, that's why it is important to me to know. i am linking my sites over 50 sites/blogs everyday and also bookmarking to get at least pr1, but this site seems to did nothing and got high rank. that's why this is important to know for me as well as others in my team. Hope you understand
The problem is that no-one can explain it to you other than Google, and it could simply be an error because in theory it cannot be achieved without backlinks. Moreover, it could already have been corrected but you won't know that until the next toolbar PR update.
Hi, Page rank depends on several factors so one can't say the particular reason behind this. Here, we can see that it is not following even basic criteria of a highly ranked page/site. Therefore I think, it is showing 'fake Page Rank'.
I'n not an expert on this but I have done some research. This particular site was registered on 30 January 2012, just a week before the last PR update on 6 February. It is apparently possible to set up a redirect from an existing PR4 site to another one (and so pass on that PR) and then remove it immediately after the update. In this way the new site allegedly will display a PR4 and a "fake page rank" checker will not reveal the redirect. One suggested way of verifying whether or not the PR is genuine is to use Open Site Explorer and look at the domain authority given and the links. However, the last update of OSE was February 28 and by that time the site hadn't been indexed (by OSE) and information will not be available until the next one on 28 April. Similarly, the fake PR would continue to be displayed until the next PR update. Whichever way you look at it, it is difficult to imagine how a site can legitimately be given a PR4 within one week of registration.
Hi, I would really like to know about the sources where you have done your research. This is very informative share. Keep it up. :nice:
Page rank has nothing much to do with the ranking there are other parameters also to determine page rank. What may have happened with the site you have mentioned is it must had shared link from a website with quality content and which is ranked well on search engine pages. This is a common trick what most of the search engine marketer follow at the time of buying and selling.
