There are several method which can be used to increase backlinks such as blog commenting in dofollow blogs, link exchange, article submission, PR submission, submit site in social bookmarking sites etc.

i do high pr blog commenting on relevant sites and it help me a lot in ranking.other i do articel,dir on high pr and forums postings.

 

when you comment on the blog, you have a link to you blog in the comment? i really never tried that.

 

Link Building is important to promote your site. For me the best techniques are: Directory Submission (high PR), Social Bookmarking (high PR), Classified ads, Forum Posting and also Social Media like facebook and twitter

 

just focus on related site. and do social bookmarking and networking. It is also a big help if you write an article and post it to squidoo.

 

Do all link building to increase the site traffic and to get a good PR. These techniques are good for promoting the site
