I am new at programming in C. Using High Tech Pro and have written approx. 300 lines of C code. Have been working for days to delete compiler errors to get "build successful". Down to two warnings. I am sure there are many problems with my code and I wanted to try to program my Pic-2 ICD. Something is definitely wrong as the program space used is only Bh locations out of 2000h. My Toolsuite is HiTech ANSI C compiler. The only files I have in my project is the source file xxx.c Shouldn't there be some other files as a result of the build?? I can't seem to find a user manual for the MPLAB IDE with HiTech compiler for example pic16f917. Is there something I missed in the setup of the project? I specified the project name chip type and tool suite. Any suggestions or a source of a simple tutorial would be great.
