how i can change menu window background color and highlight color

    Hi friends,
    i wanna change highlight color in when mouse goes to a menuitem area, like in vista its transparents gray color like this in wanna set in xp too,
    background color of my menu window is gray i wana make this also change white,
    my problem is that i attached an bitmap in left of each menuitem, so when mouse pointer go in area of menuitem in xp highlight color is blue so its mixing with color off my bitmpas
    and producing differnt color , vista all ok ,
    tell me how i can change background color and highlight color when i come in area of menuitem
