Hi all Can someone please assist me with a query. I have a 2008 R2 server, we use an application that runs off pervasive sql. In the night our application runs a task, but this task seems to be hanging. I have noticed that as soon as this task starts, the Windows software protection service starts at the same time. From what I have read up, this is a on-demand service and should not be switched off. I have read up on the service and is still not too clear on what this service actually checks. Does it check all license products in your system or just Microsoft products? Could it be possible that this service is interfering with my application or could it just be a coincidence? Please help, Im a newbie
