Hi, am new member and am really stunned of the hug forum. i have request and i wish you guys help me i have a project to build an application for intranet us to access it by other member. this project should contain information of a nework elements name, number, connections, like a database for a company netwrok. we can access reach it any time, also can search in it. i need to know which program could be useful, asp,oracel,access, visual basic, i need to know the pros and cons of each and a recommendation hope you get what i want so that you help me... feel free to ask me any thing just to go further with the help
It all depends on the requirement. If its a web based interface any web language like ASp, PHP, JSP can be used. If its an application based requirement you need to focus on VB,VC, C# and database can be choosed depending on the cost and budget of your system.
what do you mean by database can be choosed depending on the cost and budget? asp,php,jsp ... what is the differance between them and which is much easy to learn?
You can go for Oracle/SQL Server which are not free or even MySQL/PostGreSQL which are free open source. PHP is a bit easier than JSP and ASP to start of with.
PHP .. well i don't know much about it.. would you bref if ... i read about it few lines but didn't get the idea of how it works and looks like... How about power builder ...???
