How to use Datagrid to read variable strings used in VB6?

    I am accessing a proprietary database and I have defined string variables in VB6 and I need to show them in a form, navigating thru the records. I found out that the Datagrid could be good, but it uses SQL or Acces... There is a way to solve this?
