The most useful CMSs on the web to apply for your next project; you could choose the one that fits your requirements, best.

1.WordPress: This PHP blogging platform is the most popular CMS of all, for writing blogs. It’s a great platform for starters, owing to their excellent documentation and rapid installation wizard.

For those users not familiar with HTML, a WYSIWYG editor is given straight. WordPress comes with built-in images and multimedia uploading support.

    2. Drupal: Drupal is another CMS with a very large, active community. The Drupal is more of a pure CMS. With plain installation, there are a ton of optional modules that can add lots of interesting features like forums, OpenID, user blogs, profiles and more. It’s trivial to create a site with social features with a simple install of Drupal.

3.Joomla: An advanced CMS in terms of functionality. Joomla’s installer works on commonly shared hosting packages and is a very clear considering how configurable the software is.

It is very similar to Drupal being a complete CMS and might be a little more for a simple portfolio site.

4.Wix: It is a good website builder choice for you to take consideration.

Wix has designs and tools that cover all niche markets you could imagine, as mentioned below:

    • Small businesses

    • Photographers

    • Designers

    • Restaurants

    • Hospitality

    • Musicians
Wix is now the most innovative website builder amongst all competitors. They keep adding new tools and designs on a regular basis.

Nice article! WordPress is for beginner and has many options to update the CSS easily. WordPress is best for small sites.

I would like to add one more CMS, Magento. Magento is best for the e-commerce sites with more products. It i very secure, just need some extra effort of web-development understanding.
