pls i just wanna give further discussions regarding this so called CISCO, i just wanna know why does it exist and how does it work. we are purchasing server and i must have more idea regarding with CISCO. anyone who could extend their help pls? :worried:
cisco can be used in your case for many reasons: 1-first you can get an asa firewall from cisco and copnfigure it to protect your network against bad hackers. 2-second of course you need a gateway to connect you network to the internet and in this step cisco provide you with the most reliable ,secure and flexible in programming router which enable the routing of the packets from your network to the internet and viceversa.also if you need to do subnetting you need to get cisco routers ad you can configure the routers with a certain ip planning to suit your network subdivision into many subnetworks. also at this point you can configure vpn on the router and use a vpn connection which is a secure manner to control your network from outside,for example you can use remote desktop applications. 3-also you can procure with cisco switch to interconnect your lan devices.do you know that you can access your cisco switch from outside your network because cisco switch can handle an ip address.
