    hi all,
    I use borland Turbo C++ as my editor and Compiler for C & C++ in Windows Xp. Now I have bought a new Laptop with VISTA installed in it. Here the Turbo C++ is not working. Can any one suggest me how to run it or any good substitute for it.

    Plz I need it fast.
    Thanks,
    Pratik...

    What about the Microsoft compilers and SDK? Visual Studio is an expensive product, but I believe you can download the compilers and platform SDK for free, and if you really want an IDE there are several open source offerings.

    I bought a new notebook pc with windows vista pre-installed. I was using Dev C++ in Windows XP. But when I moved over to Vista, it is showing some strange errors. I wondered which could be the best compiler and IDE for Vista. Here are the best ones I found which seem to work well in Windows Vista barring Visual C++.

    Pelles C , CodeLite, Code::Blocks

    I hope that solves your purpose.
