    First column sums to 15
    Second column sums to 19
    Third column sums to 11

    Ideally in a game of sudoku sum of the numbers in all the columns are same.

    5 3 1
    6 7 2
    4 9 8

    sudoku has many variants. so which one does ur question belong to.? any clues?

    u didn't mention the number of grids. is it 3x3 or 9x9? give more detailed info for solving!

    ...is non-existent, because by the rules of sudoku all columns contain one each of the digits 1-9 and therefore all columns add up to 45. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudoku

    I missed the trick. It was not 9x9 but 3x3 my mistake and so still would give nimesh as winner if no one else mind :D

    but my answer was based on the que posted by shabbir

    as per the competition rules,
    Added 20th Jun 2009 - After all we are Human and if the poster does any mistake in question there would be no winner.
