which wire COLOR in the (12*2) ATX motherboard connector of SMPS gives equal voltage with all the other wires except GREEN? (hint:- YELLOW + BLACK=12 volts and RED + BLACK=5 volts). If the color is X then (X+YELLOW=5 volt, X+ RED=5 volt, X + BLACK=5 volt etc etc but X +GREEEN= around 1 VOLT).

Hi Techgeek! Have u checked it? :shout:
    According to ur question -
    X + Red = 5V
    X + Yellow = 5V
    X + Black = 5V
Now, after measuring all voltages I found
    Black + Red = 5.XX V
    Red + Black = 5.XX V
And no combination gives X + Yellow = 5V only Red + Yellow gives 7.XX Volt around! Which is near by ur result! :shout:
And if I connect Black and Green it gives 4.XX volt in power off condition!
    NOW HOW ITS POSSIBLE???? :shout:

grow up man!! once u popped up a question on me..nd on the next chance u gave an ans...as far as i think knowledge is not only about "SOMEONE SAID" then "U GET". U need to find it out urself what goes on in SMPS?? Be practical!! Be confident!! Don't give HAZY ans.. If u dnt get then say X=NULL nd if u get then give X=yyyyyy...if a bowler is off spinner then who says that he can't throw googly..itz batsman whose greatness judges whether he will be able to face every ball or not...i hope admin agrees with me!!

BINGO!! Intelligent very intelligent...i dnt know on what logic u gave this ans..but i m explaining the logic..

    refer to my question:-
"which wire COLOR in the (12*2) ATX motherboard connector of SMPS gives equal voltage with all the other wires except GREEN? (hint:- YELLOW + BLACK=12 volts and RED + BLACK=5 volts). If the color is X then (X+YELLOW=5 volt, X+ RED=5 volt, X + BLACK=5 volt etc etc but X +GREEEN= around 1 VOLT)"

for answering this question u dnt have to test ur SMPS..u just need to apply ur own resoning..
under hint facts are provided and outside hints assumptions are given in the form of "IF"

    so FACT is BALCK+YELLOW=12 volts...IF X+YELLOW=5 volts and X + BLACK=5 volts...so how can be the fact BLACK+ YELLOW=12 volts..if so then BLACK + RED should also be 12 volts because assumption is X+RED=5 volts...But BLACK+RED cannot be 12 volts becoz fact is BLACK + RED=5 volts...:D

    GOOGLY!!!!
