    Our Portland, Oregon client is the leader in memory virtualization software. The company's platform eliminates application bottlenecks associated with memory, and transforms memory into a shared, networked resource available to servers in the data center. Their products scale across commodity hardware, take advantage of existing data center equipment, and are implemented without application changes to deliver unmatched performance.

    They are looking for a QA/Automation Engineer capable of designing and implementing test cases, preparing test data, executing tests and review/evaluate results, test automation and test execution.

    Skills/Qualifications:
    * Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related technical field
    * Experience in the software test/QA field with growing levels of responsibility
    * Experience in designing, developing, executing and maintaining test cases and procedures
    * Experience in working in Linux environments
    * Strong grasp of corporate data center operations
    * Experience in using scripting languages to develop tests (preferably Perl)
    * Experience in test automation
    * Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment
    * Proven skills in testing and quality assurance
    * Thorough grasp of QA methodologies and the QA lifecycle for white box, black box, functional, combinatorial, and customer-oriented testing
    * Experience writing and executing test plans and test cases with minimal guidance
    * Document precise and concise defect reports and test results
    * Strong software analysis skills
    * Strong analytical, organizational and conceptual skills
    * Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    * Excellent time management and prioritization skills
    * Adjust to changing focus and/or priorities

    Technical:
    * Linux System Administration preferred
    * Scripting Language (Perl preferred)
    * Ideally Software Development (C, C++)
    * Ideally has tested clustered systems

    The position involves extensive automation and hands on testing and is responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive test plans, managing and updating the issue database, setting up and maintaining test lab, as well as keeping all resources materials and data current and accurate. The position requires the ability to communicate with developers and designers to keep the product on track and the schedules accurate and up to date.

    They are looking for a positive results oriented individual who can anticipate problems and possibly provide suggestions for solutions.
