Hi and welcome to the forum and I would suggest having the query in the right forum would give better responses.
Ask your teacher, that's what they're paid for. It's unlikely the first words out of his mouth were "Right, welcome to the C++ beginner's class; now please design for me an elevator simulation and I'm off to the pub now."
