    How do they make money? I mean why would i make a good browser? How do they get fund for it??

    Depends on the objective.

    Donations or in long term some big company acquires it.

    Eh? If I own a big company lets say XYZ, and i fund Firefox, how would it help my company? Just by funding a browser? Ok my name will be splashed on there site, but whats the point? I mean for a big company that kinda name wouldnt matter much...would it?

    You are not getting my point. Most of us use Firefox, how many of us know who funds it? Is the rato of people who know it, worth it?
    We get ads on TV 'coz we know and see it on TV, but very few know who funds? So whats the idea?

    Did you knew that Google was behind the promotion of Firefox ? They used to pay $$ for promoting Firefox

    Google probably dumped FF may be for this reason. It was promoting Non IE things

    Do not know much about RockMelt, but I’m certainly interested, mainly due to the little information I’ve heard about it... we'll just have to wait and see.
