This thread is 7 years old. Why do you think that link exchange is still the best way?

 

this technique were used earlier, lately back to back updates says Google don't like such links, just think very genuine if might happen then why not all the website do link exchange and Google will get confused to whom i should ranked well its not good approach to do link exchange until he don't belong to ur business.
