"How Can I Change My Documents Folder Path To a My Documents Folder On My Other Drive?". Now you may ask yourself why would anyone need to know that? Well, I just realized after restoring my computer that since almost all my business, personal, ideas, pictures, movies whatever is all stored in my My Documents folder it would be cool to have it on another seperate drive or partition. So incase I format the computer, I wouldn't even need to make any backups of this gigantic folder. I can simply go on and restore my PC and use My Documents folder on a seperate partition. Wrong Concept: How do we do that was TONS simpler than I thought. Someone first told me to go into the registry and tweak the following key: Code: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\ But the problem with that was that everytime I changed the path there and reboot, I would see that it changed back to what it was before. Correct Solution: Click Start, and then point to My Documents. Right-click My Documents, and then click Properties. Click the Target tab. In the Target box, do one of the following: Type the path to the folder location that you want, and then click OK. For example, D:\My Stuff. If the folder does not exist, the Create Message dialog box is displayed. Click Yes to create the folder, and then click OK. Click Move, click the folder in which to store your documents, and then click OK twice. If you need to create a new folder, click Make New Folder. Type a name for the folder, and then click OK twice. In the Move Documents box, click Yes to move your documents to the new location, or click No to leave your documents in the original location. I hope this little bit of info helps whoever is in need of such a solution.
