SEO Techniques 2013 is not much different than 2012.
You just have to concentrate for the following things
- Unique content
- Keywords variations with CALL TO ACTION points in your content optimization techniques
- Use much more social media links as you can do
- Make strong again your On page work
- Make strong again your content quality on your website
- Do not do keywords stuffing and other keywords related unethical things
- Try to update your site in a frequency with good informative content.

Personally I don't see there being anything markedly different to do in early 2013 compared to late 2012, and as always it will depend on what Google decides to do during the year.
