    Hi
I have to read a data file which is encrypted. I don't know which algorithm is used for the encryption. Actually the stored in the jpg file. I can get hex code, decimal and ascii code for that file. Is there any way to decrypt that file without knowing the encryption mechanism. If anyone can help me i will appreciate it.

    Regards

Well without knowing the decryption algo and the key I don't think it would be possible. You don't know possibly which decryption program is required and you also don't know the key.Even if you knew the decryption prog that has to be employed then still guessing the key would be very difficult .Usually with the size of keys that is used these days brute forcing the key is impossible if I may say.:cryin:
