I need to increase my keyword ranking in US. Suggest some tips or techniques and share some do follow sites from where i can get the back link for my site. Everyone suggestions are most welcome.

You are already on good path. Search engine optimization is the only way to increase SERPs worldwide. If you wants to rank your website higher on various search engines in us than you need to work in .com domain or all that website hosted in US. You can use any of SEO techniques to increase SERPs. I would like to recommend one website for do-follow social bookmarking list(directorycritic), article directories and also for directory submission.

Blog posting, Blog comments and Forums discussion is also good techniques to improve your rankings.

There is no difference or some other techniques of optimization for different countries. Do the same process and get to see the results.

You need to optimize your website for local audience.
- Add your website to local search engines
- Add your website to local directories
- Get listed on Google places, Bing local search and Yahoo! local
- Get listed on local classified websites
- Get backlinks from target country
- Get active on niche related communities which are popular in your country
- Get citations for your listings
- Add city name to Meta Tags (if possible)

Google uses the geographic location of the person browsing
as one of the factors when it delivers their search results. It will take it that the person would prefer to see websites
that are in their locality. Therefore if you search for the same keyword using different country versions of Google you will get
different results. Therefore specific action is needed to target the country you want to do well in.

Unfortunately some of the places you would like to feature your site are limited to businesses based in
the US or just a few other countries e.g. Bing Local.
