i am looking to set up a web server. i have set one up but i can only access it from the localhost. i was wondering if there was a way that i could connect to it from anywhere just using my ip address instead of a domain.

Any webserver can be accessed from anywhere provided u give the right ip which is static.

I guess you may have some firewall issues if it does not connect withing your network through an ip

If you're using a router, then the router's firewall may be blocking port 80 inbound which will prevent you from accessing your web server.
