Hi all,
I have faced some problem in ifconfig up/down command (linux).
Supposed i have used the ifconfig eth0 command then after i want delete IPV6 local link address so it couldnt able to delete permanetly. How is it possible plz give some suggestion.

For Example:
ifconfig eth0
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:13:D3:3F:7F:37
inet addr: Bcast: Mask:
inet6 addr: fe80::213:d3ff:fe3f:7f37/64 Scope:Link <- here
RX packets:205560943 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:1
TX packets:742535676 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:515791587 (491.8 MiB) TX bytes:3168788086 (2.9 GiB)

When fe80::213:d3ff:fe3f:7f37/64 is deleted by ifconfig command
> ifconfig down
> ifconfig up
fe80::213:d3ff:fe3f:7f37/64 apportioned once again

how fe80::213:d3ff:fe3f:7f37/64 is delete.....

Just check Disable smilies in text when you have characters which can be converted into smilies. I have done that for you.
