    a friend told me Cygwin is a linux emulator tht works on windows platform..so i downloaded it and tried out few commands but i found few commands like vi,clear, ...are not working

    m i missing something here...or does Cygwin come with few diff commands set

    Calling cygwin a Linux emulator is going a bit far; it provides a Unix-type environment that can run within Windows. If you want more Unixy commands in Windows lookup GnuWin32.
