You can check back links for your web page by following method:

Type - Link:youdomain in Google Search box and click on "Search" buttons. Google will display all back link for your webpage.
Mark Brown and shabbir like this.

There are lots of online tools available on internet to find-out back-links but can't we trust 100% on them. I use Google(link:www.*.com) and Yahoo site explorer to check back-links.

If you want to check your own backlinks then you can visit Google Webmaster Tools and it can be used to check your competitors links also.

you can use back link checker tool for finding the back link of your site. The good one is backlinkwatch opne it with .com .

This is incorrect. Google Webmaster Tools cannot be used to check competitors' links., it can only check sites which someone owns or is in control of.

Most of the replies are working well. I am using add-ons for checking my backlinks, PR and other information

Open site explorer and ahrefs are the two tools i am using. There are many other tools which work with paid versions. Like many, i too miss Yahoo site explorer.

I don't really understand why so many seem to miss this service. Matt Cutts has made it very clear that Google didn't count all the links the YSE found, so what was the point?
If you think that you should have 1000 (of what ever your currency is) in your bank account, but your bank says, sorry, but all that has actually been paid in that can be verified is 500, then that's all you have.

Well it won't because Google replaced it with Webmaster Tools some years ago.
Matt Cutts explains it in this video:

For my own site, I use Google webmaster tool.
For other sites I often use by search manually or use Alexa.
