Hi,
If you have programming experience with C,C++,Java then its quite easy to catch up with JavaScript, 'cause it's syntax shares a lot of resemblance with the mentioned languages. You can start off with this tutorial http://www.w3schools.com/js/default.asp and in case you are stuck somewhere, don't worry, G4E help is just a post away.
