Hey shabbir,
I have noticed in some forums (specially torrent ones) there is a "Thank You" button which people click to thank the author for there article/upload.

One good thing i have noticed is, a lot of times user doesn't have that much to say, or is in a hurry to read other articles or not in mood to type something, this is where these thank you buttons come in handy. With this feature, authors will get more acknowledgment and encouragement as more people will thank them and they won't feel there articles were not appreciated even though it had so many views.

I am attaching a screen-shot from one of the sites to give you an idea of it.

Yes, and I think that will also solve the problem of running up post counts, as reason given is that one line post

Hmm, yeah seen this, but I have one question Why Remove your thanks ? After thanking, why should we remove our thanks ? Please correct me if I am wrong

whats the idea?? is it that we can do for each post? Well i have never seen this so asking...

and yeah i don't see any point of having Thank you to be removed..its quite insulting actually...its like removing rep or stars from a thread

Dear mayjune, I have purposully puted thank you in each post, just to know what the reaction is.

Shabbir, what is your comment on this ? If one person fill to thank everybody on their every post, other members having issue in it.

i don't have any issue on this, from where i got the idea thank you was only for the article not for the posts...
it defeats the purpose of thank you if u give for each post...its when the post was really helpful or exceptional answer or something like that, for each post i don't think thats the idea behind it...
