(1) Change(s) to the Reputation System : If the Rep-Power of a user is 6 (say), then he has the power to add a max. reputation of 6 points to a user. (Please note the word "maximum".) But, why should he always add 6 points, by default. I think there should be an option to choose how many reputation points to add for the target user. The chosen points should be < or = rep-power. (2) "Reputation Added" in the User Control Panel : And, I think we should have a facility to see the recent reputations that we have added to various users. As we view the reputations received, I think we should also be able to view the reputations sent.
If we allow how much a user can repute other then it would be more of a rating of users and not of reputation of user. If you can give reputation you should give him and not consider how much you are giving.
Hmm ... consider this .. Let us consider two members say "A" and "B" who helped two different members by solving their problems. Now, as both of them have helped somebody in trouble, both deserve reputation. But ... do they always deserve EQUAL reputation ?? I don't think they do .. obviously (at least sometimes) one of them must be deserving more reputation. Anyway, it's your wish, finally .. I just saw it on some other forum and found it logical.
Yes if they have helped according to you you can repute but not all the members would repute equally to each of them and so that would lead to differentiation but yes there can be scenarios where you need more input but then it would be rating the users based on response.
