Hello, This is my first time posting on this forum so I’m not sure what kind of help I will be receiving as to my questions. I have currently come into a problem and I’m hoping that someone could direct me into a good direction. A few years back I had started a project for a company. I had gotten a good portion through the project and had even given them a beta version for them to tell me what they wanted me to change on it. Unfortunately the business which was also managing a sub business fell through because of internal and external sabotages. Years have gone by and I have strayed away from programming and into something that I have more fun doing: audio/video and image editing. After all these years I have now gotten called back into the presence of the original CEO’s son who is now restarting the business and is wanting me to finish the program as they see fit. Altogether the program works just fine by itself they say, but I failed to include an import function allowing the importation of database files. This correction is about all that I have to do but I am now lacking in my programming skills. In fact I am lacking in remembering anything about the program. I had to go over and review what I had done in it. Anyhow… the system is based on Microsoft Access’s JET database engine. I have tried to go back in and get into the programs functions but am unable to as I am unable to decrypt the code. Also I am unable to find my information to allow access to what I can get to run in my newer version of Access so I’m kind of sitting here looking at a program that I created without any ability to do anything with… and with a employer looking at me wanting it to do what they want… If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do, or direct me to a program that will be able to decrypt the coding so I can even view it as I have lost almost all of my extensive programs to do so after my old Maxtor HD was… to make a long story short… there was fire and a lot of a melted together computer. What is the language in which it was programmed and by any means can you give us the code then definitely we can move on. Did you handle them the code as well. If yes then there are definitely ways where you can get the code because no program on this planet exist that can decrypt from the application the code of the application. You can tell them that it was a project done by you and you follow a rule that you dont keep the code of the project after successful completion with you due to copyright issues and you handle all the deliveribles and you dont have any code for the project and it has to be with them and so you can get the code by that means or else if they arent able to get the code out then also you are not suppose to have the codes.
Do you mean decrypt from the applications. That impossible. If I would have found one I would have got the code of Windows way before.
