Hi all... It is known that having inbound links is of outmost important in SEO but does having links from topic related sites helps in getting on top pages in Search engines ?.....Also,there are multiple examples of pages with top rankings who have inbound links from unrelated sites.....So, what is important? Having inbound links from related sites or any inbound links will help.........
Having inbound links from relevant sites is important, because when a visitor searches your line of business using a keyword, Google gives preference to those sites which have relevant inbound links, and most importantly the inbound links should be from top quality sites which should also be 'do follow'. Quality of the links is more important than relevance, though relevance as a factor cannot be ignored.
ANY inbound link with a keyword will help you, in ranking for that particular keyword with google and other search engines. Relevant links of course weight more than irrelevant and links from quality sites or high PR sites will provide more for your site PR improvement but who gives a shit about PR. When you rank good for your keywords and have quality on your site PR will improve by itself.
Exactly, so there is you answer... and i can't really agree that it is the most important because you can not really control who link to your website can you?
It is much important to have relevancy in your inbound links.....Because Google and other search engines only helps to increase visibility if our inbound links are relevant.
