No one can say for sure apart from SE peoples because no one would have done the testing of having 2 pages at the same ranking and bold on one page ranks it better. There may be myths for the same but if your user want bold do it else forget it.
it does not help to improve ranking but help to put emphasis on keywords when crawled by search engines
