Help on ideas for Project

I am an engineering student.Can someone help me with some good ideas for my project.I want to do something new and helpful to society.Suggestions are welcome

Your tutors may be able to advise on relevant projects. What are your interests? Can you write some software to help others with similar interests? For example if you're a musician, are there some musical projects you can do (for instance, how about a new way of entering music without hundreds of clicks per note, which most of the current crop seem to demand)?
