    Background

I have been doing lots of experimentation with Google Adwords these days and have written and article on how to Improve Adwords Quality Score and here is one more thing I just happen to discover.

I have a campaign where all my quality score for an ad group was above or equal to 8.

    Experiment

I created a new Adwords account and copied the same ad group into that account. Stopped the ads from my old account and started it from the new one. The new account also had an Adwords coupon applied and guess what.

All the higher quality scores keyword ad have close to 0 impressions after 48 hours of making it live.

So now would like to ask.

Is the age of your Google Adwords Account a criteria to get great QS?
I would say yes and also add some more params to it like.

    1. Age of the account.
    2. Your average monthly spending.
    3. Your average CTR’s (Click Through Rates) of your ads and keywords.

I totally disagree with you on this. If this would have been the case All new advertisers would run away. Google is trying to acquire more and more advertisers and so I don buy on your points.

May be your experiment is not greatly concluded because of the Adwords coupon money you have applied to it.

Google Adwords coupon is also one of the main reason to attract new advertisers and if they spend high they would anyway run away.

So I guess you need to see a bigger picture.

The bigger picture is something like this.

If I start a campaign with bids being equal to the active ones then also Google would not start giving impressions but as we move along and start spending and also change things around Google would start showing and then we would consider Google Adwords is just great where its not important the bid and the most important thing ins relevancy but that increased because of time and nothing on what I did to the account.

    This is my understanding.

Having a quality landing page, your keyword Quality score will increase so you will have to pay less per click. The scores of Google are the following: “Poor”, “Ok” and “Great”. When you have a “Great” quality score the minimum bid for each keyword will be between $0.05 to $0.01 depending on the competition of your niche.
