    Core 2 Duo is a processor which can use 64-bit addressing for data and memory address.
    It has the maximum CPU clock of 2.4 GHz.

    2.4 GHz refers the processor speed. Is there something else that is expected?

    the processor uses 64-bit addressing modes where the width of address bus is 64-bit and the core 2 duo means multiprocessor system with 2 cores each having a clock rate of 2.4ghz thus combine effect is 4.8ghz....
