How good is your C?

I am looking for volunteers with solid C experience to help verify the reliability of a new on-line C test.

The test consists of 20 multiple-choice questions which can be answered in 30 minutes.

This is so we can look around and see what it's all about. For example if the question corpus is not public - why exactly? Are you looking for unpaid volunteers (aka mugs, in this context) to verify the workings of a site you intend to profit from?

The site is commercial, developed by myself. The tests, including the C test, have been put together by a group of talented individuals and we now need beta testers to validate the C test before it is used in anger.

Curiosity to see how good is your C using a new metric? Fun? Try a test which you could encounter in a job interview?

Standard software industry practice for external beta testers is that they do it either for free or they get "paid" in kind (e.g. a free product licence), but only if they provide meaningful feedback.

Anyhow, it is your choice whether to take part.

 

What payment in kind are you offering?

 

Taking a test once gives us statistical information for validating individual questions. However, what is *really* useful is when a person takes two tests, preferably on two consecutive days. The questions are chosen from a large pool at random, so the questions in the second test will most probably be different from the first one. This allows us to correlate the two results, thereby validating the whole test.

We have been offering 10 test credits to people who have taken two tests (see the site for what test credits are and their worth). The credits will be usable for any tests. Caveat: at the moment there are no tests available for use in anger.
