Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I have a question and would like to see where everyone stands on this.Lets compare the world as a whole to a smaller place in an ecosystem. Lets say the maximum amount of deer in particular alloted, closed off forest, is 200. This forest supports 200 deer stability for a long period of time because of the self supporting ecosystem. Lets say a huge amount of food is dumped in that forest that only the deer eat. So the deer breed out of control and eat all the food, that food is gone and with a population of 2000 deer all the rest of potential food will be gone also. So the deer starve and die in huge quantities and after the damage they did on the environment, it supports only 20 deer now. Since this same logic can be applied to humans and the world, why would we be worrying about something as seemingly trivial as abortion being legal or not? shouldn't space exploration be a bigger priority? Or at least more of an attention to what we are doing to the planet we are living on? I really ask this because I do not understand your positions on this. Please help me here.P.S. Sorry If wrong place!

Abortion isn't trivial. Causing the death of a human being is murder, or in certain circumstances manslaughter. A foetus is human at the point of conception, i.e. where the sperm fuses with the ovum, termination any time after that is murder.

The world has plenty of resources to feed everyone on it; the fact that we still have starving people is a political issue, not one of supply or distribution.

If all 6 billion people on the planet stood together, lets say each using a 2 foot by 2 foot square, in a large square, how long would a side of that square be? Less than a mile? A few miles, say, 29? A few hundred miles? Thousands? sqrt(6e9)*2/(3*1760)=????? (3*1760=feet/mile)

Recommendation for anyone interested: The Great Global Warming Swindle.

I have a feeling you'd really enjoy the book Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. Ignore it's seemingly insane plot and look to what it's saying.
Get on it, you'll like it.

we are treating our world like sht, after all these years that it cared for us and sustained us, we are destroying it.
Abortion, i think it should become legal, but with control, not like "nah, don't use condom, i'll make an abortion later..." ¬¬ no, that's not the point, i mean, what is the point on bringing a new life to the world if you can't feed it, mantain it and care about it. You're just creating more and more poberty all arround the world.
Also i beleave political issues have a lot to do with poberty, i know it. but hey, we're all in this, we all decide who's in charge, and that's the worst part, we all decide who is going to steal our money...
i'll stop here bofore this get's to somwhere else hehehe

Ah yes, another "the world's overpopulated, more people have to die". Well why don't you lead by example, that's my question.

And here's another question, if all the people in the world stood together in a big square, with lets say 4 square feet each for breathing space, how large would that square be? A few miles down each side? A few hundred? A few thousand? Take 6 billion as your starting point and work it out. Overcrowded where you live? Then move.

You're dead right that poverty is caused by politics rather than lack of resources or logistical issues. We easily have the capacity and capability to feed everyone on the planet with food and water left over (stop paying farmers NOT to produce would be a good first step).
