I am planning to change the host and my new hosts I have plan for shifting to does not have cpanel and I am looking for some FTP application which can transfer files from one FTP server to other. I am not planning to download a backup and upload again all the files.

I have tried SmartFTP as well but it just does not allow that way file transfer.

I think you should download everything and upload it. It takes abit more time but who cares then you also have a back-up at the same time ;-)

I prefer using webdrive that will give you your FTP server a new drive and you can copy paste everything normally. You can use it to have your 2 FTP servers connected as 2 dives and then copy and paste among each other.

ftp just doesn't work like that... you'd need to ssh into one server, ftp from that server to the other one and ftp the files that way, but it's combersome, you can also use a web application to do that, but it'll still do the exact same thing, download to it's own server and upload from there...
apps like sitevault (www.site-vault.com) make it seam that you move from a ftp to another, but it will still download files locally...

I am afraid you will need to download and then transfer over.

A nice ftp program is cuteFTP. It may not do what you are looking for but at least it will give you a nice GUI to work ftp on
