Does anyone have a detailed guid on creating a threaded discussion forum much like this one? I am currently working on some code now however I am no expert on the matter.

    Forum needs to include:
    User Login/Pass
Admin Panel for forum setup and user admin
    BB code
    User Avatar and signature
Ability to embed into current CMS at HERE
This is only my test site the domain is not in use.

I have seen a few forum tutorials but most of them link to offsite tutorials which are pretty much a forum of text and no login. I am very interested in learning how to code it but I am unable to because I dont even know where to start. If anyone could lend me a hand I would be very greatful.

You can try some of the free forums like phpBB or a paid one like vBulletin.

I had also thought of that, however I am finding it extremely difficult in embed the forum inside of my CMS. I would love it if I could get phpBB to fully integrate in but I have spend many hours attempting to embed it with no luck.

I have been able to make a login block for phpBB any also to pull some information from the database.

If you know of a way I could embed it so that the site would have my header, left and right blocks, with my footer that would be amazing. I simply can not understand a lot of the advanced code they use as I am just a beginner making small applications for gaming groups.

If thats the case you should use the forum and then use the CMS provided as a plugin to the forum.

Depends on what CMS you're using. Is it your own CMS or another one? I tried the link on your post but it's not working. I have a forum running SMF and I integrated it with mkportal. Works great and has a lot of features, including the ones you mentioned above! Both free, you can google them since I'm not sure of the policy of live links on posts yet, I'm a newbie. I know mkportal also integrates with phpBB and vBulletin.
