Those days are gone when we used Consulted books or ran after teachers for all our queries.

When in doubt we had 2 options. Read several books until we found what we need or take help from teachers and friends.

Now with the advent of Google, I could search for "Chat Program in C++" and the WHOLE applications with code and that too well documented comes up.

So do you think Google is a good substitute for teachers and books? Share your thoughts in comments below

What I feel.... Google is good for us... who wants to learn fast and not from scratch, for not for School students...

So there can never be any substitute for books, and teachers will always be there in school, colleges.

But then School students uses them as well. It may not be good but the question is if I need an answer as a student I may refer Google before books or teacher.

Shabbir, you are right... but at school there will always be teachers and books followed by them. So, no substitute, whatever u take from google, everyone has to got to study somewhere, where there is teachers and books. :)

I am not saying that Google can teach but when it comes to problem solutions you won't refer books before Google.

This also depends, on who is having the problem. Juniors still need books/teachers and not Google. Google is for us!!

The problem may be in definition of juniors these days. I see my kid in Class 1 doing lot of things on my laptop which I hardly could do when I was in my 10th/12th. He even knows how to play PS3

My kid, who is also in class I, playing NFS better than me with mouse and KBD control with my PC, while still needs to learn Hindi from books :)

So, there is no definition to juniors also...
