    DOS was out of Windows since Windows XP and it is just an application to execute DOS commands.

    So Shabbir, my question is what was the last version of DOS, that latest windows try to execute?

    Not sure I remember but See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS-DOS which says MS-DOS 8

    Yes it says 8.0 which was ended at 2000. So I think latest windows has atleast dos 8 execution support.

    So guys if you have any problem to run any DOS program on recent windows, then you must install DOSBox! DOSBox will even help you to run any DOS programs on Linux, Mac and other OS! DOSBox emulator tool can be found at dosbox.com
