Hi, I am new to Solaris OS, and have used only Windows XP OS.Today i downloaded Solaris OS from sun's site,and want to know how to install it.What precautions should i take all the way, to avoid unnecessary damage of my hardware.Can i install it on my one of the partitioned hard drive ,so that i can use both XP and Solaris? I have downloaded sol-10-u8-ga-x86 file,and my hardware configuration is 1.2GB RAM,60 GB HARD DISK, Intel Pentium Core Solo Processor. I burned the image file on a dvd, but all files are unknown file. any file is not running after double clicking. some of the files are INSTALLER,COPYRIGHT,_VOLUME_INF.1...etc.There are many files and folders.But no file is running.Any help?
