Sorry if this isn't in the right forum.

I have an HP Photosmart Printer (I know, there's my problem) and I switched it out for a different printer buy I didn't uninstall the software that came with the HP. The second printer wouldn't work, so I just plugged in the HP again. Now, it won't print. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it thinking that might help. It just made it worse. Now it saves everything as a .xps file and I can't print anything. When I have a document open to print, I click print, it opens the print window, I click print again it prompts me to save it as the .xps file as I mentioned. In the print window I select properties where I was able to select color or B/W etc... Now, the properties window just has two tabs about .xps. What Happened? This has never happened before. I'm about to toss the printer and buy a Canon Pixma All In One. But I've heard they print slowly. Ugh, please help.

    Thanks!
